About the conference
The Faculty of Engineering, Menoufia University is committed to support the vision of the Egyptian government and the national strategy of higher education focusing on development sustainability. Applied research dominated by innovation and creativity is supported to establish technical solutions to current and future grand challenges. For this purpose, the faculty has organized a biennial scientific conference during the last thirty years to present and discuss research work devoted to development issues.
As the world is facing common problems related to water scarcity, climatic changes, decreasing natural resources, and increased energy cost, the conference organizing committee called for an international gathering to address these issues. The International Conference of Sustainable Environmental Development held during 29 April to 3 May, 2024 in Cairo, Egypt is the 5th international edition of the faculty conference. The conference calls for papers in different engineering disciplines including: electric, mechanical, civil, architecture, industrial and mechatronics engineering. Also, papers in engineering sciences including applied chemistry and physics, nano technology and smart materials are welcomed.
The 5th conference edition is held in the magnificent and historical city of Cairo. A social program and tours around ancient Cairo landmarks are arranged to enrich the knowledge of the conference attendants about the Egyptian heritage and culture.
